True Stupidity

I can't believe it. I just read about another person who called the police over their food order. A woman in Texas called the police because her order of Chinese food did not have as many shrimp as she wanted in it. What level of stupidity do you have to be at to think that that is an appropriate reason for calling the police? I think they should start handing out membership cards to these people that they would have to show whenever they were in public. That way we'd be prepared for the dumb tricks they pull.

Georgia Has Moved South

It's official. The state of Georgia has moved south to Florida. At least if you look at the license plates of the cars on the road here it looks that way. I don't think I would be exaggerating to say there are more Georgia cars in town right now than local ones. Those Atlanta people sure do love the gulf coast of Florida. They don't call it the redneck Riviera for nothing. LOL I think I'll stay home until next week when they all migrate back north.

Making It Safe

My parents are elderly and stubborn about not wanting to leave their house. My brother and I have decided that if we cannot get them to move then we have to make it safer for them. We are looking at what we need to do to make the house easier for them to live in. I am aware of some of the bathroom safety products that are available. There's a tricky stairway from the house to the garage that we're having reworked. Now I'm on a mission to see what else needs to be done. There's more to reworking a house for senior citizens than I realized at first.
